Zamorak's Fortress (Members)

Warning

You should be sure to read the God Wars Dungeon - Introduction before even contemplating visiting Zamorak's Fortress.

Like the rest of the God Wars Dungeon, Zamorak's Fortress is a terribly dangerous place. Please only bring equipment that you're not awfully attached to.

Introduction

Inside Zamorak's Fortress
Once only a mortal, Zamorak is now a powerful god whose minions have been frozen in ice for thousands of years and are only now getting the chance to prove their worth. Through life and death his servants are nothing if not loyal, and with beasts such as K’ril Tsutsaroth at his command, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Every god is his enemy, and every mortal his pawn, and none are safe from Zamorak’s wrath, as his search for the infamous godsword continues…

Points of Interest

An overview of Zamorak's Fortress
Players will need to swim across icy waters in order to reach Zamorak’s domain, but they will only be able to do so with a minimum of 700 life points. Be warned that once you get there, the evil that resides within will drain your prayer to 0 and the light will begin to diminish.

As you get closer to the lair of K’ril Tsutsaroth, the evil will grow stronger and the light darker still. You will face mage, melee and ranging attacks from Zamorak’s terrors, so be prepared for everything – you will need your wits about you!

To finally come into K'ril Tsutsaroth's presence, you must have slain at least forty of Zamorak's followers.

Personalities

K'ril Tsutsaroth

If you were in any doubt that the God Wars Dungeon was challenge enough for you, look no further than the giant demon, K’ril Tsutsaroth. Once thought of as nothing more than a myth, this beast of the darkness has destroyed towns and levelled entire cities, leaving nobody alive to confirm his existence. This intense brutality and strength has ensured his position as one of Zamorak's most feared tools of destruction. His powerful melee attacks will crush all but the strongest of warriors.

Beware! Over-using prayer to block this behemoth’s attacks will cause it to unleash a devastating rage like you will never have seen before.

Balfrug Kreeyath
Despoiler of Ullek

As his moniker suggests, this black beast is as unmerciful as he is frightening to behold. Balfrug will need no reason to attack you, so you had better be prepared to defend yourself during every second that this foul monster breathes. This is an enemy worthy of fear and respect.
Tstanon Karlak
Destroyer of one thousand planes

With jaws large enough to swallow an adult imp whole, 'destroyer' is an appropriate title for a creature capable of removing your head from your body with movement roughly equivalent to a 'nibble'. Tstanon Karlak should be fought with care - he is not to be underestimated.
Zakl'n Gritch
Scourge of the Light

For decades before his imprisonment in the ice, Temple Knight assassins attempted to slay 'The Gritch', due to its relentless reign of destruction upon their sacred lands. Each brave (yet foolish) attempt ended in failure, while the few that did return alive could only utter two words... "bloodshed" and "horror".

Zamorak's Terrors

Imp (Level 7)
During the god wars, even the lowliest of soldiers had their powers boosted by their god, and imps are no exception. These tiny manifestations of evil were normally used to swarm over their enemies or as expert thieves, but now they are so few that they are easily the weakest of the foes you might encounter.
Vampire (Level 77
With a bloodlust that never dies, even in the intense heat of battle, this creature is an undeniable threat. Guard yourself well from this blood sucker.
Bloodveld (Level 81)
Bloodvelds are bloated creatures with a long, flexible tongue with which they drain their prey of blood. They are tough creatures, and you will need a Slayer level of 50 to kill them.
Werewolf (Level 93)
These wolven beasts don't need a full moon to reveal their true form - the evil that consumes the God Wars Dungeon has ensured that these clawed fiends remain changed and highly dangerous.
Spiritual Warrior (Level 115)
Zamorak's spiritual warriors are as deadly to fight as their intimidating mace suggests. With such an evil force driving them, they will stop at nothing to ensure victory on the battlefield.
Spiritual Mage (Level 120 - 122)
The mighty spiritual mage completes the trio of combat styles adopted by Zamorak's spiritual army. Against this inhuman force, nobody is safe. The mage's knowledge of magic is not to be underestimated. To do so would be your undoing.
Spiritual Ranger (Level 121)
Unlike their warrior brethren, spiritual rangers will not attack you at close range with such unhinged brute force. Instead, your life will be sucked away from a distance. Their aim is true - guided as it is by the eyes of evil.
Hellhound (Level 127)
These vicious beasts stalk their prey across the world without pausing for rest. They are the ultimate hunter, and Zamorak's armies are often preceded by the baying of these demonic hounds.
Gorak (Level 149)
Goraks come from a plane entirely separate from that of RuneScape, but the boundary between the two worlds is weak at the best of times. During the god wars, many of them made their way into RuneScape to serve under any god that would show them battle. They are especially dangerous, as no prayers will stop their attacks, and they will drain your skill levels with astonishing speed.

Miscellaneous

  • If you are extraordinarily lucky, you may find that K'ril Tsutsaroth or his bodyguards drop shards of the godsword. The hilt that Zamorak's infernal sorcerers designed for that blade can only be recovered by slaying K'ril Tsutsaroth.
  • The warriors of Zamorak will be less inclined to attack you if you are wearing some symbol of Zamorak's dominion.
