Dungeoneering - Rewards

Introduction

When you complete a dungeon raid, you will receive Dungeoneering skill XP and a number of tokens equal to 1/10 of the Dungeoneering XP you received, rounded down. These tokens are smuggled outside of Daemonheim, so that you can trade them with the rewards trader in the Daemonheim camp for items to be used outside of the dungeons.

The rewards trader can be found cowering in the Fremennik camp to the south of Daemonheim. The tokens will have been transferred to him via the smuggler, so you only need to visit the reward trader to start cashing in your winnings. The rewards trader will also offer to recharge many of the below items for a fee.

The following items are available from the reward trader, from cheapest to most expensive. You may also purchase Dungeoneering XP at the rate of 1 XP per 1 token. All reward items are untradeable:

Scroll of life - 10k tokens

[image]Members only. Requires a Farming level of 25 and a Dungeoneering level of 25. Once used, the scroll will disappear, giving you the following permanent effects:
      • When harvesting a non-tree farming patch, there is a 10% chance that you will regain a number of seeds equal to the number you originally planted
      • When digging up a fruit tree or normal tree patch, there is a 5% chance that you will regain the seed you originally planted

You gain the chance of regaining seeds once you have FINISHED harvesting a patch; you do not get a 10% chance for every ranarr herb you harvest from a patch, for example.

NOTE - If you harvest dead herbs, the herb seed you have a chance of receiving will be random. Sometimes, you may receive a torstol seed after harvesting a guam, for example. This only applies to dead herbs: live herbs will offer you a seed that is identical to the ones you originally planted in the patch.

If you pay a farmer to dig up a tree for you, you forfeit the chance of regaining your seed. Paying farmers to look after your plants will have no effect on your chances of receiving seeds - as long as you cut down or harvest the plant yourself, you will receive the chance of regaining the seeds. Spirit trees and calquat trees do not give replacement seeds.

Scroll of cleansing - 20k tokens

[image]Members only. Requires a Herblore level of 49 and a Dungeoneering level of 55. Once used, the scroll will disappear, giving you the following permanent effects:

      • You receive a 1 in 10 chance that you save a secondary ingredient when making any potion

Scroll of efficiency - 20k tokens

[image]Available to all players. Requires a Smithing level of 55 and a Dungeoneering level of 55. Once used, the scroll will disappear, giving you the following permanent effect: whenever you smith an item that requires three or more bars to create, there is a chance that you will retain a bar. This chance is dependent on the bars that you are smithing:

      • Bronze - 50% chance of retaining a bronze bar
      • Iron - 25% chance of retaining an iron bar
      • Steel - 20% chance of retaining a steel bar
      • Mithril - 10% chance of retaining a mithril bar
      • Adamant - 8% chance of retaining an adamant bar

The three reward shields of Daemonheim 'soak' up damage from any attack that would have hit for 200 life points or more. Each shield offers slightly different variations of this same ability:
      • The chaotic shield soaks up to 7% of all received melee damage and up to 14% of all received ranged damage. Magic damage is not soaked up at all.
      • The eagle-eye shield soaks up to 7% of all received ranged damage and up to 14% of all received magic damage. Melee damage is not soaked up at all.
      • The farseer shield soaks up to 7% of all received magic damage and up to 14% of all received melee damage. Ranged damage is not soaked up at all.
Summoning attacks are dealt with according to the familiar's attack type. So, if a familiar attacks you with a ranged attack (for 200 damage or more), then a shield will soak up some of that damage as long as it has a ranged soaking ability.

Any damage soaked up by the shields will be noted in your chat window. 'Soaking' damage lessens the charge on a shield more quickly than usual. As noted above the table, you will need to visit the rewards trader of Daemonheim if you wish to recharge a shield with no charges.

      Dungeoneering XP:

Dungeoneering XP may also be purchased at the rate of 1 XP per 1 token.

      Class Rings (m)

Members only. When in a dungeon, right-click on your ring of kinship and you will be able to 'Customise' your ring. This allows you to choose one of four different classes - melee, ranged, magic or skiller - each offering three different roles:

      Melee
      • Tank - Damage is reduced when wielding a shield
      • Tactician - Increases chance of hitting in accurate stance
      • Berserker - Increases Strength levels when calculating damage in aggressive stance

      Ranged
      • Sniper - Increases chance of max-hit in long-range stance
      • Keen-eye - Chance of reducing target's Defence when in accurate stance
      • Desperado - Increases Ranged levels when in the rapid stance

      Magic
      • Blazer - Elemental spell damage is increased
      • Blaster - Chance to slow down your opponent's attack speed and snare them
      • Blitzer - Increases chance of casting elemental spells faster

      Skiller
      • Medic - Increases the amount you heal other players
      • Gatherer - Chance of extra resources and skill task damage reduction
      • Artisan - Chance of saving resources and increasing rune production

      The customisation interface
When you first 'switch to' a role, you will see no positive effects. You will need to upgrade your abilities in that role by clicking on the '+' sign next to the upgrade bar, contributing a number of dungeoneering tokens. By contributing dungeoneering tokens to that specific role, you are able to upgrade from Tier 1 in the role all the way to Tier 10, with your abilities improving with each tier. For example, a 'Tank' role will begin at +6% damage reduction when you wield a shield, but will rise all the way to +15% at Tier 10.

Any upgrades you purchase are permanent, and will remain even if you 'switch to' another role. You can only receive the benefits of one role at a time.
